All of our products are hand made by gifted artisans in a small workshop. Hand-cast using natural crushed marble bonded with high-grade polyresin, each piece is then individually perfected and hand-finished with exquisite craftsmanship. All coloured statues are hand painted. Each piece is unique, so there may be slight variations in size, color, patina and texture.

Statue Information 
 
Psyche was most commonly depicted as a beautiful woman with butterfly wings in Greek and Roman art. The inspiring love of Psyche and Eros story coming from the rich Greek mythology has been depicted in various Greco-Roman mosaics mostly found in Turkey, Gaziantep and Antakya. Inspired by the mythological love between Eros and Psyche, the Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen carved a marble sculpture of the goddess named Psyche with the jar of beauty in 1806, which is exhibited in Thorvaldsen Museum, Copenhagen, Denmark. The statue depicts Psyche holding the jar of beauty she took from Persephone, goddess of the underworld, marking her transition from mortal to divine.
